Larry was a family man starting from a boy. He loved his parents, siblings and his relatives. Growing up he has made them all smile, laugh and shared their own emotions with them.
Taking the world on he worked hard, picking up many skills that would continue to develop the man he was.
Making many memories along his journey, the young bachelor fell in love when his eyes found his life long partner dancing.
Did not take long for these two to get married and begin their lives together.
Larry worked construction and him and his partner had their own construction business. If you talked to anyone who has seen his work they’d say it was better than code. He was a master in this field, the places built by him will continue to be beauty in our world.
Then one day the spark that would change his world happened. He wanted to become a Paramedic and like everything else in his life, when he set his mind to it he achieved it.
Larry continued being who he always was, a family man. As life continued so did the size of his family.
The smile you would see on his face when one of his kids did something would brighten the room. He was a passionate man and when he loved you, you could feel it.
If you could talk to his kids they would tell you he loved them with all his heart. He shared all their proudest moments as well as their pain.
Larry’s dedication to his community didn’t go unrecognized. He gave his community every last bit of himself to help and save as many lives as he could. The community around him saw this and awarded him the highest honor they could.
The Lifetime Achievement Award.
When Larry received the award he gave a glimpse of how he was set down this path.
“When I was at my oldest son’s t-ball game two boys collided on the field falling down. I immediately starting running to them to help those boys. When I got to them I realized I have no idea what I’m doing.
The boys ended up being okay, but I knew I wanted to help and I would never be in that situation where I didn’t know how to help.”
From the beginning of his journey to his last breath, family meant everything. Larry was a part of all his family’s lives.
He helped raise his children and grandchildren. When he received a call from them they become his top priority. Placing in their hearts the same passion that raged in his own.
Larry gave this life everything he had. If it was his friends, family or a stranger, he made your world better.
When he passed away it wasn’t just loved ones that filled a room, but emergency vehicles from multiple areas lining up main street.
His call code has been retired and while his family held him the ambulance department he loved dearly drove him away one last time.
